Washington Mutual (WaMu) Bank used to offer a high 6.00% APY on their 6 month CD, but they recently dropped their CD rates. Regardless, they still offer one of the best rates in retail banking, offering some of the best CD rates among the banks maintaining brick and mortar locations. WaMu is currently paying 5.40% APY on its 6-month CD account.

Reliant Bank is offering a promotional 5.60% APY 10 month CD. They are calling it a “Flex CD,” because you can chose one of the following features when opening: a one time add-on, a one time withdrawa, or a one time rate increase. Minimum deposit on this certificate of deposit is $10,000; the maximum deposit is $500,000.
A branch visit is required to open this CD, so it’s probably best suited for those living in the Brentwood, Tennessee area. Their bank is located about 10 miles south of Nashville, Tennessee. Reliant bank is FDIC insured, and was established in 2006.

BankOfInternet.com is offering 5.42% annual percentage yield on both their 1 year and their 5 year CDs. Their other CD rates range from 5.32% to 5.42% APY on a good selection of maturity terms. They do not offer IRA CDs. From their website:
